Multicultural Festival is coming! Check the details!

“Naka-ku Multicultural Festival" will be held on Saturday, December 17.  Admission is free.  You will be able to join a variety of workshops and experience foreign cultures at the event.

There will be demonstrations of Ukrainian traditional handicraft "Pysanky" making, Chinese tea tasting, Chinese language lecture, Bulgarian doll making, cultural introduction and exchange booths of America, England, Philippines, and Mongolia, Japanese Kimono-Fuku and flower arrangement experience and fun raffle with great prizes.  Participate in many workshops and interact with people!  Come and join us with your family and friends, or just by yourself.

In addition, three independent films (shown in Chinese with Japanese subtitles) will be screened at Yokohama Cinema Jack & Betty on the eve of the festival.  These independent films are made by young people living in Naka-ku who are connected to foreign countries with "multi-language and multi-culture" to face their "life" and think about what it means to "live as I am".
