STUDY JAPANESE LANGUAGE

We have created an “Introductory Syllabus” and a curriculum for our introductory course.
Programs are developed to address the needs of recent arrivals to Japan who feel uneasy in daily life.

"HAJIMETE" (Introductory level) Japanese Language Class

We introduce not only the Japanese language but also study strategies to learn Japanese through the course. We also provide important information for living in Japan including visa status, education, job and daily life. Japanese teachers, English and Chinese speaking staff are always available to support you.

Application Guide

Schedule	Every Tuesday and Thursday from May 8, 2025 to June 10, 2025 (10:30-12:00), 10 sessions in total.

Eligibility	In principle, residents/workers/students (over 16 years old) of Naka Ward who need to study basic and essential Japanese.
Level	Introductory level
Tuition	2,000 yen for 10 lessons *Naka Ward Office partially subsidizes the tuition.
Lesson Style	Face-to-face small group lesson
Registration	Applications will be accepted by phone (TEL: 045-210-0667) or in person from 10:00 am, April 8. On a first-come-first-served basis. Priority for residents/workers/students of Naka Ward.

Spring/Fall Japanese Language Course

We use textbook “Marugoto” to teach basics of Japanese. This course is designed to help learners communicate using the Japanese words learned in the course.

Schedule	Every Tuesday and Thursday from May 8, 2025 to September 30, 2025 (10:30-12:00), total 30 lessons. *No classes: July 16 to August 25 (summer holidays)

Eligibility	In principle, residents/workers/students (over 16 years old) of Naka Ward.
Level	Beginner’s level
Tuition	6,000 yen for 30 lessons (plus text fee) Naka Ward Office partially subsidizes tuition.
Lesson Style	Small-group lesson. Groups are organized according to the level.
Registration	Call us for an interview appointment after 10:00 am, April 8. (Level check and brief class guidance will be given at the interview.)　*Telephone reservations only. TEL: 045-210-0667 On a first-come-first-served basis. If there is no group suitable for your level as a result of the interview, you may not be able to join this class. Residents/workers/students of Naka Ward have priority to apply.
